Our Player of the Month from October goes to Mathias Wagner.
Mathias, an exchange student from Austria, has made an immediate impact on the club team. At UW-Milwaukee he helped lead the team to a 2nd place finish by going undefeated. He also helped the team to a top 8 finish at Dayton. Though he is only here one semester, he's already had one hell of a year. When he's not playing tennis he likes to teach other club members how degrees Celsius works and befriend old ladies at gas stations. Mathias Wagner - your October Player of the Month.

Year: Exchange student, currently in 4th year out of 5
Hometown: Koenigstetten, Austria
Favorite thing about Club Tennis: It's both competitive and has a great atmosphere.
Favorite moment of this semester: The Milwaukee tournament where the
net was waaaay too low, so I could bomb serves all I wanted.
Tell us your favorite tennis story:
"One time, I was playing a doubles match with a guy from my club. We
won the first set but we were down in the second, and my partner was
furious. During one point when I was at net, my partner hit a lob that
hit the line, but he thought he had missed it.... so he got upset and
threw his racket over the fence. The point continued, and when I looked
back at my partner he was just standing there with no racket in his
hand."
